Working with others

We commit our activities to improving the health and well-being of the community, partnering with others to support the work they do.

Youth Advisory Council

A non-profit organisation voluntarily run by young people that advocates for youth in the Canterbury Waitaha health system. Te Papa Hauora works closely with the Youth Advisory Council, hosting educational events and supporting production of resources, designed for youth by youth.

The YAC play a critical role in raising awareness of health and wellbeing among youth in Canterbury Waitaha who may often be reluctant to engage with the health system.

We all benefit from a health system that values the voice and involvement of young people.

To get in touch with YAC, email cdhbyouth@gmail.com or visit:

Our resources are available to support young people, including mental health support, leadership tips, advocacy guides, and tools to amplify youth voices and drive community change.
