Living Well & Ageing Well -Rangiora 2026

Genetics in health and quality of drinking water – what do these have in common? They were the topics of the day in Rangiora on 16 September!

Prof Walker explained to all in attendance the impacts genetics and genomics is going to have on our health today and into the future. Great questions asked included how this would impact health coverage in the future, and what ‘at home health devices’ could evolve to.

A/Prof Chambers prepared visuals sharing nitrate concentrations in our drinking water, making us ask ourselves if we on track with what we can do to prevent pollutants in our ground water systems. The costs were enormous to our health, but also wallets.

These free talks are held annually, between Lincoln and Rangiora. All are welcome.
