Each year Te Papa Hauora proudly hosts a public engagement event to raise awareness of health research and researchers.
A unique opportunity for members of our community to hear from leading researchers in health.
Researchers have the chance to connect with and others in the Canterbury research community.

- Leading researchers from Canterbury come together to share highlights of work being done locally that lead to improving the health and wellbeing of our communities.
- Attendance is free and the talks are open to the public. Presentations are engaging, concise and designed for everyone.
- Held in association with the Canterbury Medical Research Association and the Health Research Society of Canterbury.

I'd like to attend online, is this possible?
Yes, there is an option to attend online, which you choose at the time of your registration. A link to the Talks will be sent to you on the day of the event.Â
Is there parking available at Manawa?
There is limited disabled parking onsite, but no other parking available. Most attendees would find on street parking or use the various paid car parks in the area.

Health Research Society of Canterbury (HRSC)
HRSC is a forum for health researchers in Canterbury Waitaha to connect, promote and present their research. Te Papa Hauora works closely with the HRSC, hosting various events at Manawa. These foster a culture of cross-disciplinary discussion and collaborative research opportunities, leading to innovative solutions and advancements in health.
Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF)
The CMRF funds medical research and builds awareness of the great research that takes place in the Canterbury region. They have funded over $35.5 million in research since their founding in 1960, supporting projects in various areas like cancer, heart disease, and mental health.
