RfCA Youth Digital Mental Health Research talks

Another great event held by Research for Children Aotearoa last week, hosting keynote speaker Caroline Donovan. She spoke about BRAVE, Momentum, and Lights Out Online, online interventions developed over the past 25 years in Australia.

These interventions have steadily developed alongside advances in technology, with uptake increasing exponentially since the COVID-19 pandemic, when demand for accessible, scalable, and flexible mental health care was critical.

Professor Donovan explored ways these online digital interventions can deliver high-quality, evidence-based care at scale, while complementing traditional mental health services and expanding reach to those who might otherwise not receive it. Q&A session followed with excellent kōrero regarding design and testing of the interventions, accessibility across Australia and worldwide and next steps for future technology,

Thank you again Professor Donovan for sharing your mahi with us and we look forward to hosting you again in NZ in the near future.
