NEWS – RECENT HIGHLIGHTS
Future Leaders Programme

We have had a record number of applications to our first Future Leaders Programme for 2026. Each year we offer this highly acclaimed leadership programme to final year health students in Canterbury. The programme involves technical aspects of leadership, input from health leaders, plus presentations from futurists and business leaders.
Students are encouraged to question how best to adopt leadership roles, challenge the status quo and to recognise that leadership is vital at all levels and all parts of our health system. Past students have described the programme as a ‘game changer’ with respect to how they view themselves as potential leaders within health.
Research for Children Aotearoa

Te Papa Hauora are proud to support the Research for Children Aotearoa (RCA), a collaborative which brings together established research institutes, organisations, and communities to advance equitable, innovative, world-leading research for children. One way they have been doing this is through their free public seminars, national conferences and participating in local research.Â
