Please see below information regarding a workshop exploring upcoming research into the use of digital technologies and tools to enhance the accessibility of Aotearoa’s community healthcare system.
This project is a collaboration between Prof. Laurie McLay, A/Prof. Elsamari Botha, A/Prof. Professor Cathy Andrew and Doctor Kylie Short (University of Canterbury) and Prof. Kevin Schulman (Stanford University), Prof. Stacy Wood (North Carolina State University), and Prof. Bryan Bollinger (Dartmouth Tuck Business School). The project aims to co-develop a digitally enabled care framework (DECF) for Aotearoa’s community healthcare sector, in partnership with potential end-users (stakeholders). Stakeholders will include professionals working in community healthcare settings (i.e., general practitioners, nurses; healthcare leaders and managers, policy makers), and consumer groups.
We will run two series of co-design wānanga (workshops) over two years. We are currently inviting community-based healthcare professionals to participate in the first wānanga. This wānanga will be hybrid, with an option to join virtually (via Microsoft Teams) or in-person at UC.
The eligibility criteria for healthcare professional participants are as follows:
- Registered general practitioner, nurse, or other professional who works in the realms of healthcare planning, management, policy, or systems design.
- Currently employed within a community healthcare setting or the health system more broadly in Aotearoa.
