Te Papa Hauora is being lead by Christchurch’s major tertiary and health institutions working in partnership with Ngāi Tahu, a foundation member:

- University of Otago
- University of Canterbury
- Ara Institute of Canterbury
Together they make up Te Papa Hauora’s Advisory Council.
